Welcome to the Lenzie Union Parish church website. Lenzie Union Parish church is a large and friendly Church of Scotland, based in the centre of Lenzie, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. We follow the vision of the Church of Scotland, which 'seeks to inspire the people of Scotland and beyond with the good news of Jesus Christ through enthusiastic, worshipping, witnessing, nurturing and serving communities'.  Thank you for visiting us on the web. The reason that the church is here is to share the welcome that Jesus gives out to everybody who wants to find out more about him. Here are a couple of the ways in which Jesus spoke about the welcome he offers:'Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it. ... I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.' (The Bible, Matthew chapter 11, The Message translation) 'This is how much God loved the world: he gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no-one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.'
